NFL Player Props Week 2: Top Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets (2024)

NFL touchdown scorer props are one of the most popular prop betting markets in the world. Often these picks come with long odds! That's why so many people look for the longshot touchdown scorer each week of the NFL season. Luckily, I've already done all of that research for you here! The most important play in any football game is the touchdown, it can also be the most profitable if you pick the exact player to score in the game!

Something I will always do is play this game smart. We're not going to shoot blindly and throw darts at the wall here just because a player's odds are long. The research I've done will always back up the reasoning behind my anytime touchdown scorer picks.

Even better than my picks is the OddscheckerUS website compares odds from every sportsbook for every NFL game. This includes odds for anytime touchdown scorers and we find where you can get the best price for your bet.

Let's get to it! Week 2! Wow! Crazy how that comes so quick with all the build-up from the offseason. Before you know it will be freezing again in the North East, and Tom Brady will be hoisting another Lombardi trophy. (Eye Roll)

With this column's first edition I've gone with a few combos and straight bets. I'd say I'm playing it safe with these picks but we're here for profit at the end of the day. Here are my top picks to score a touchdown anytime in Week 2!

Noah Fant (+205)

Last week Fant paced the Broncos in targets with 8. He finished with a stat line of 6 catches for 62 yards. He didn't score in Denver's 27-13 win over the Giants but that will change in Week 2. His teammate Jerry Jeudy was injured in the win and placed on Injured Reserve. Jeudy finished second on the team with 7 targets, that now need to be filled. Last week, Houston Tight End Pharaoh Brown hauled in 4 receptions for 67 yards against the Jaguars. In 2020 the Jaguars allowed the second-most touchdowns in the NFL to Tight Ends.

Antonio Brown (+140)

In my opening night, player prop picks last week I had Antonio Brown score anytime as one of my selections. What do you know? He scored and finished with 5 receptions for 121 yards and a score. Dating back to last season AB has touchdowns in four straight regular-season games. He also scored in two of the four playoff games in 2020 including the Super Bowl win. In the two games he played in 2020 facing the Falcons he amassed 16 catches, 231 yards, and three touchdowns. Atlanta allowed Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts to throw for three touchdowns in Week 1. Oddsmakers have Tampas team total Over/Under set at 32.5. Expect AB84 to contribute to the scoreboard this Sunday.

Kareem Hunt (+105)

In 2020 the Texans allowed the second-most touchdowns to running backs. Dating back to last season including the playoffs, Hunt has scored in five out of his last seven games. Hunt isn't your prototypical backup running back. It's nearly a timeshare with teammate Nick Chubb. In Week 1, Hunt played just three fewer snaps. Hunt has had at least one goal-to-go carry in six of his last eight games. The current spread for this game suggests the Browns will be ahead and most likely be running the rock. I expect him to find pay dirt.

Najee Harris (-120)

This is also my best bet of all of Week 2 in the Oddschecker Staff's Top NFL Bets column. The Steeler's first-round rookie was the only running back to play in 100 percent of his team's snaps in Week 1. He finished with a disappointing individual stat line despite the Steelers nailing the upset win on the road in Buffalo. He finished with 16 rushes for 45 yards adding 1 catch for 4 yards. Luckily for him, the Steelers head home to Pittsburgh and welcome the Raiders to Steel Town. Las Vegas was tied with the Texans for the second-most touchdowns allowed to opposing running backs in 2020. They continued this trend allowing two touchdowns to Ravens running backs, Latavius Murray and Ty'son Williams last Monday night. I'm expecting HUGE numbers from the rookie this Sunday.

Chris Carson to Score Seahawks Win (+105)

Carson gets a juicy matchup with the Titans. In 2020 the Titans allowed the fourth most scores to opposing running backs. Carson didn't score in Week 1 but I expect him to here. Carson rushed 16 times for 91 yards adding 3 catches for 26 yards. He played 77.8 percent of his teams' snaps in Week 1. With little to no competition for touches in this backfield that should help our chances here. His price is juiced to (-149) but if we parlay him to score with a Seahawks win this number comes to (+105). I don't love parlaying these but if I'm confident in the team any given week to win outright (which I am for Seattle here) it's an easy way to boost value to our anytime touchdown pick.

Aaron Jones to Score and Packers Win (+115)

Everyone including Packers bettors like myself want to forget that Week 1 ever happened. Aaron Rodgers and company looked like they were sick, actually ill. It made everyone else watching sick. BUT the NFL schedule makers have just what the Doctor ordered! A matchup with the abysmal Detroit Lions and their atrocious defense! Last season the Lions allowed a league-high 29 touchdowns to opposing running backs! That was 8 more than any other NFL team. In Week 1 they gave up 127 yards and two touchdowns to 49ers running backs. In Week 2 of the 2020 NFL season, the Packers faced the Lions and Jones went bananas rushing 18 times for 168 yards 2 touchdowns, and added 4 catches for 68 yards and a touchdown through the air! Similar to the Chris Carson bet, Jones is priced (-120) to score but parlay that with a Packers win and our bet moves to (+115). Let the world get back in order and let's see some vintage MVP, Aaron Rodgers, on Monday night.
