Hotel

This hotel is perfect for those who want to stay in Rapid City, SD. It offers free hot breakfast and two hot tubs. Additionally, it has an indoor pool with a waterslide.

Booked very late on booking.com. Got lucky and this hotel was great. My daughter chose the hotel because of the water slide. The rest of the hotel was great. I always worry about the pool water temp, as some hotels go cheap and it's not warm. This hotel had very warm hot tubs and a very acceptable pool temp. The water slide lands in the deep end of the pool, so remember that. A kid won't be able to touch the bottom when splashing into the pool. Good breakfast, room clean, not noisy, adequate parking, pet friendly. We'll go back if we're in Rapid City again. Price was very good--even with the dog.

The nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at! Check in was a breeze and the front desk staff were so welcoming and helpful with dinner recommendations. Our room was immaculate, the white comforters speak for themselves! It was quiet and peaceful in our room. We swam in the pool and my husband went down the waterslide! Such a lovely addition to the excellent room and board. Honorable mention to the assistant manager, Jesse, as he went above and beyond in helping us book.

Sierra Young — Google review

Great hotel. We had our whole family stay last minute. Kids enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed a nice clean hotel. Great booking experience, very fast check-in, breakfast was great. If you're looking for a place in Rapid City consider this the last review you need to read - this is the place

Derek Purvis — Google review

Edit: Had a $8.95 resort fee for each room that were not prominently displayed anywhere. Were not advertised properly for what the fees contained or how to utilize the resort services. The hotel wouldn’t refund it and blamed corporate, corporate blamed the hotel itself.Great customer service Angela and Nick were very attentive. The pool slide is surprisingly enjoyable and the kids never got tired of it. The only downside I saw was some overlooked stuff next to the bed left over from a previous guest but the attentiveness of Angela and Nick kept it 5 stars. Great value I’d come back.

I'm so glad our family chose this hotel! The rooms are as represented online very clean, remodeled, and a very comfortable bed. Alexis was the manager who we interacted with and she was Awesome! The breakfast that Juanita cooked in the morning was absolutely lovely! We will choose this hotel again for our next trip. ☺️

Drayton Dunwody — Google review

This was a nice, smaller, family-friendly hotel to stay with my kids. They got to enjoy playing in the pool for a bit and the rooms were clean and spacious. Nice breakfast in the morning. Very affordable too! No complaints!! Will stay here again when we visit family in Rapid City.

Ashley Flynn — Google review

Our family of four and our dog stayed at this location in early December 2022 while moving cross-country, and we ended up being stuck in Rapid City for 5 days during a blizzard. Everything about our stay was wonderful- the rooms were clean and modern, every breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and served hot, and the staff was so courteous and went out of their way to accommodate us. We were especially impressed by Krista and Angela and their dedication to high-quality customer service! Don't think twice about booking a night (or 6) here, and definitely check out the Mexican restaurant next to the hotel!

Katelyn Boyd — Google review

Great spacious rooms to spread out. Large tvs with netflix to use if you have an account. Bathrooms are strait walk in showers not shower/tub combos which was great with the extra room it afforded. Pool and 2 hot tubs are both open till midnight for adults. All in all had a awesome stay.

Jonathan Mickler — Google review

We had a fantastic time here! The rooms were spacious and clean. The free breakfast was decent. The staff was super attentive and nice! My son loved the complimentary cookies!

Margaret Omlie — Google review

Check in was a breeze, super fast and staff was perfect. There’s a fire pit out front of the hotel which was pretty cool! Seems like a nice new hotel with lots of perks. We had a double king room for our family and it was lovely. No signs of bed bugs. The beds are memory foam and for the bill for our stay. Comfortable and plenty of room to stretch out. They have charging stations at the side of each bed so that was nice for all of us!Breakfast was basic but exactly what we needed. The waffle and pancake station was stacked with a line down the hallway so it must have been good 🤣. We opted for the eggs and sausage, toast, and oatmeal. Everything was decent and fast.

BMF Garage — Google review

I honestly have a hard time on what to rate this. I've stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience, wonderful staff, clean rooms and amenities. This time was almost no difference....almost. I'm a single woman who has a physically strenuous job and live in this city, and I thought I deserved to spoil myself for an evening so I got the room with the whirlpool in it. I had a visitor, my cousin who came to conversate for an hour or two but then I had the room to myself. The gal at the front desk was amazing and my room was clean. I didn't really inspect it but I guess that's my folly, because the next day they took out two separate charges for apparent room damages. On a desk, which I didn't use, nor even turn the light on beside it....I was told had a "stab mark from a knife"?! I don't even own a knife to do said damage. I was also informed initially that there was a crack in hot tub and the handle or spout...idk exactly which they said, was broken. I did use the hot tub however, but everyone was in working order when I stayed. Then when I spoke with the manager they story changed and that it was just the spout that was broken...no crack. She refused to let me finish my sentences and accused me of lying and when I tried to reiterate that I didn't even use the desk she said she would not be releasing the charges and hung up on me. So just a forewarning, take lots of pictures as you check in and out, and maybe have staff walk through with you as you check out. I feel scammed.

Mary Winder — Google review

Upon booking my room at country inns & suites I was not advised that there would be a $50 deposit. When I arrived they told us the deposit was necessary and a cancellation would result in me not getting my money back for the original booking. They said I would get the $50 deposit back and when I checked out I did not get the full deposit back. They charged me a resort fee along with taxes Even though taxes were already taken out on the original booking price. This is entrapment I would highly recommend to never stay here!

Miles Mischke — Google review

Room is extremely clean. 40" HDTV in the room is nice. Pool isn't the biggest but is functional. Staff were very nice and answered all of my questions.Edit: Alexis at the Front Desk was super Friendly, Courteous & Polite.Juanita in the breakfast area was fantastic, extremely polite, and was a pleasure to talk to.

Joshua Vennerstrom — Google review

Superb hotel. It's only a few years old, and really well done. Rooms are large and comfortable- super clean, too! Breakfast was simple, but hot and delicious. Had no complaints on the service, either.

Steve-o Bandito — Google review

This is great hotel to stay in. Rooms are very clean and newer style. Service is amazing, front desk very pleasant. Breakfast served from 6am to 9.30am and lady who worked today, March 13 is AWESOME. so pleasant, smile on face like she is serving family but visitors. Stay in this hotel, you won't make mistake. One room has king size bad and seating area has sofa, which is full size bad. Awesome for 2 girls or 2 boys to sleep in. If family of 5 and have child 3 to 5 and willing to share bad, then this will work for family of 5, like us😊 I be happy booking next Country inn anywhere we vacation. Well done!!

Mirela O — Google review

Nice, clean, affordable, conveniently located. Excellent staff made great recommendations from dining to attractions and more.Based on their knowledge I truly believe it made an impact on the success of our vacation.Cheryl and Angela my family thanks you for your thoughtfulness and may you soar to great heights in everything you do! You already have in my book.

Everything was great. We had a suite for a really good price. The bed was very comfortable. They have a pool with a slide and 2 hot tubs. They have a fire pit outside with lots of seating. The breakfast bar was also really good. I will stay here again!!!

Mike Sperry — Google review

Overall not bad. Beds very comfortable, climate in room easily adjusts. Sadly, room service only every 3rd day. Pool nice, breakfast ok. Common areas dirty, and front doors open and close with every passing person going to the coffee area, just a dumb location. Coffee pretty horrible too, each day.

One Life2Live — Google review

Will never stay here again, sink would not drain fast at all (it took hours) and was disgusting and the bed was super uncomfortable and hard. We paid a ton for a room and were just super disappointed. Stayed at the mainstay suits the next night for less than half the price and had a much better experience

Brittney Lee — Google review

Very impressed, very clean! Staff were friendly and helpful, nice variety at breakfast each day- only wish they would have had a little more fruit selection. The crib/pack and play they had available for our daughter was very clean- looked brand new! Price is great for all the extra amenities you get- pool, fitness center, breakfast included. We were informed at check-in that the crib would be an extra $15/night, however we were never charged this on our final bill so not sure if it was just a deposit or if they forgot to charge us for it!

Mandy Marie — Google review

I recommend this hotel, staff was very friendly & helpful. It was a great atmosphere over all. The room was clean . Its a perfect location ,right by I90. They are pet friendly . They have a great selection for breakfast . I'll close this place next time I'm in the area..

Tonya Bunkers — Google review

Beautiful place! Love the pool, hot tubs and the rooms! Would recommend to anyone! Amazingly low rates for such a nice place. Also the outdoor fireplace was a nice touch.

Timothy Pena — Google review

This place is fantastic. We have stayed here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. Check in is a breeze. The front desk ladies are always very friendly and helpful. They have a very nice pool with a mini water slide and two hot tubs. (We were there in Thanksgiving and the pool was so full we passed it up this time) breakfast is very good. They had a variety of cereals, oatmeal (with brown sugar, granola and raisins), hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bread for toast with jelly or cream cheese, juices, waffles and biscuit and gravy. They offer fresh coffee 24/7 along with cookies at the front desk. The room is superb. We stayed in the king suite which had a bedroom with a tv and a living area with a tv couch, chair and desk. The end was quite comfortable. Central heat/air as opposed to a wall unit. We got this room at a phenomenal price as is typically during certain times of the year. 100% recommend staying here.

The Cambria Hotel Rapid City is an all suite hotel with a 24-hour indoor pool and gym, as well as a bistro/bar and free airport shuttle. It is located near Mount Rushmore and has 111 comfortable suites that come complete with complimentary WiFi, two flat-panel TVs, microwaves and mini fridges. The business center, indoor pool, fitness facility and front desk are all open 24/7.

10/10 WILL STAY HERE AGAIN !!I was in town for the State Dental Meeting and after dealing with an absolute nightmare with my previous reservation that was over booked we called all around Rapid City for somewhere to get ready for our event that was time sensitive. Cambria answered immediately took my reservation with a room completely ready to go taking into consideration our dilemma. VERY clean in the lobby, rooms and excellent restaurant within the hotel. Every staff member I ran into was incredibly friendly and even let me have a later check out time while I waited for my ride! Very refreshing to have a stay with ease, will be staying here whenever I come to town next. Thanks again guys!!!!

Kylie Reinert — Google review

We stayed 5 nights when we unexpectedly were stuck in Rapid City. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to take care of any special requests we had during our stay. Beds were comfortable, breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic and the woman who cooked for us really was the best at meeting our special dietary needs. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Rebecca Richards — Google review

Only complaint is that when I booked I specifically asked if they had a continental breakfast, I was assured they did... they do NOT.... rooms are nice and clean, even have actual bed bug covers (very impressive, definitely a plus). I would stay again for sure.

Jennafer Gwizdala — Google review

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I feel like royalty every time I walk in the door. Maybe that seems silly, but this place makes it feel right. They have a shuttle service, text messaging service (where they basically bring you whatever you need if you just text), and the restaurant here is great! The people here are all friendly and seem to genuinely love their job. The swimming pool and hot tub are very clean looking, spacious, and the perfect temperature. I’d say the pool alone is worth the visit here. Thanks Cambria for making such a great experience!

Meredith McMurray — Google review

Booked a suite and the fold out bed had dirty sheets, we then got moved to another room and the fold out bed had dirty and torn sheets. They did give us new sheets. The pool is open 24 hours but many of the jets for the hot tub were barely working. There is not a continental breakfast. My in-laws were supposed to get the room next to us we even talked to the gal working the front desk, they booked the room online and put in the notes to be next to us. When they went to check in the room was given to someone else. Within an hour. Overall, the stay was okay, the pool being open for the kids to swim was nice. They really need to make sure the sheets are actually clean. The front desk staff was helpful and kind. The location is a plus you are close to most stores and dining places. They did refund me $25 out of the 3 night stay. If I didn't book on a third party site I probably would have asked for a refund and went to another hotel. They also did not have bath towels due to shortage of staff.

Laura B — Google review

Very cute rooms that are clean however, the SMELL in the dining/breakfast area is DISGUSTING! Must have had a sewage flood as the ceiling was all patched but is seems they didn't bother to change out the carpet🤮the smell was so bad we couldn't eat. For $180 a night, they should fix this. It's completely abhorrent.

Brooks blogs — Google review

Me and my husband booked here for a 4 night stay for vacation. I booked over the phone and then check in online. Upon using the app to check in it asks if you want to use the card you made the reservation with or another one. I chose another and it says to present the card to the front desk when you arrive, so I did. When I get there they let me know it already charged to the card I booked with but they can issues a refund which will take numerous days to get back to the card. It wasn't a super big deal since it will be refunded but I can see for some people how having over $1000 tied up could be a big deal. Especially on vacation. We got into the room and right away noticed a few issues. The fridge was completely frozen up and didn't cool anything, batteries dead in the remote, hair on the walls in the shower, very noticeable stains on the couch and the AC was not great. We normally keep temp at 69 in our own home but had to turn the room temp down to 62 just to be comfortable and it wasn't very hot outside! The night maintenance man was very friendly and accommodating to the situation with the fridge and remote and took care of the issue in a very timely manner. Breakfast is not free but didn't mind the cost. We ate at the restaurant 2 of the mornings and everything was tasty. One of the mornings was a Saturday and very busy and still only had one waitress to do everything. I would highly suggest having a second person on the weekends. She was very nice but very overwhelmed. Then since the housekeepers only come every three days I had to request more toilet paper be left in our room which was not done so I still had to go to the front desk and ask for more. Plus I had to purchase garbage bags being that the only garbage can provided is bagless and the size of a cereal box. Being that the housekeepers only come every three days I couldn't imagine what else to do with all the garbage that had accumulated.I specifically chose this hotel since it was little more spendy thinking we would get a nicer higher end experience then usual but I was mistaken. I have had better experience at a $90 a night La quinta. The staff overall was nice but definitely had things to work on given the price of a stay.

Breanna Volk — Google review

For someone who stays at hotels often since 2012, unfortunately, this was honestly one of the worst stay I’ve had in my entire life (all 3 hours of it). This hotel was always my go to but they went down hill in a hurry!1) Bathroom was not fully cleaned. Used towel and an opened soap bar next to the sink when I walked in.2) Hot day/night so AC was required. Wall unit was so loud when it turned on that it was impossible to fall asleep…even operating on 3.5 hours of sleep. I tried taking the plastic cover off but that wasn’t the issue. Even after turning on, it would not bring the room to its setting that I set so it just kept turning on and off continuously.3) After the hassle with the AC unit, I tried calling the front desk for a half hour to no avail. I packed my stuff up at 1:30 in the morning and got my money back. Never choosing this hotel again!I’m sure they have rooms that are just fine and will hopefully fix the phoning front desk issue, but can’t afford to have another experience like this!

Our family trip just happened to be the opening weekend of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Did not realize this, even though the hotel was full, and assume chaotic for staff, it was a wonderful stay. The staff were genuinely nice, helpful, and appeared to really enjoy being there. The pool is open late, the sauna actually hot, but its separated from the rooms so no noise from the pool. Rooms were spotless, great layout, everything was perfect. Used to work in Hotels so usually spot something wrong, but not here. Highly recommend this hotel if your in the area.

Matt Bill — Google review

We just discovered their breakfast! I wish I had taken a picture of my most amazing BLT with egg. It had to be the biggest croissant I have ever seen. It was filled with lettuce egg, crispy bacon, tomato and a wonderful sauce. And it came with a side fruit salad that I counted nine different fruits! I definitely want to come back for breakfast. They serve breakfast until 10:00 (I asked) on top of this delicious breakfast the service was amazing!

Gloria Bonde — Google review

So I chose this place for the big hot tub and great looking pool room. But the hot tub was warm at best...we tried to enjoy it but just wasn't possible. But the rooms were great - beds were comfortable, I liked the layout with the couch area, microwave and coffee, etc. Just had plans to hang with my wife in the hot tub. 🤷‍♂️

Rapid City Homes by Tristan Emond — Google review

Their house keepers steal peoples belongings out of rooms ! Due to Covid room service is upon requested.. why is that they are sending people in the room everyday without being asked ?! The rooms are dirty and the house keepers go in your room and don’t even clean they just go through your dresser drawers where your clothes are and steal your belongings.. Also had gift cards taken from the room… Found dirty eyelashes in my bathroom first day I checked into my room they have come in everyday basically without being asked to and the eye lashes are still here 2 weeks later when I’m checking out.. They don’t even do anything about the situation either ! It’s absolutely ridiculous!!! I should be reimbursed for my belongings!!! DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR STUFF STOLEN !!!-Sincerely Javier

We stay there three nights. The two ladies that worked in the mornings we're helpful and fun. They need longer shower curtains in the tubs. Tuesday our hotel key would not work. Went from the fourth floor to the first floor three times to get my key to work. Was not happy about that especially after we were riding on motorcycle all day and it was 100° then had to come back to not be able to get into my room three times. They need to get a liquor license because it was sort of a bummer not being able to get a drink. We did have dinner there one night. The chicken alfredo it was okay. They're special was a steak fajita and that was really good.

Overall, we had a pleasant week-long experience at the Cambria Hotel. We were visiting Rapid City for a vacation and had a positive experience. The hotel staff was quick to resolve any issues and respond to our questions or requests. The rooms were spacious and clean, with several amenities available. The pool was large enough to accommodate several other guests, and although we didn't use it, the Fitness Room had plenty of options for working out.

Fantastic Hotel, Rooms! Bathroom was large, Rooms are well laid out and the Suite makes if extra usable. So close to all the locations we wanted to visit like Wyoming, for Devil's Tower and Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer National Park, etc. We wish we would have stayed here the entire length of our trip.

Dennis Ferdig — Google review

We were scheduled to participate in a volleyball tournament this past weekend but it was cancelled. We had booked our room through the stay and play mechanism for Cambria hotel. I assumed the reservation would be cancelled since the tournament was cancelled but apparently that didn't happen. I tried getting a refund through the hotel and the company that handles the stay and play reservation but neither would refund. They said they didn't they the ability to refund but clearly they could do anything they wanted to...they just didn't want to. I even said I'd take a voucher to stay another time and they said no. Clearly they have no interest in doing the right thing. Pretty pathetic

The rooms were nice and clean. Besides that, I was disappointed in my stay, because of the way we were treated. We decided to go on a trip to SD from out of state after it was suggested to us because it was our last spring break before graduating college. We wanted to take advantage of not having to take time off from work. After reserving the room online, I called to make sure that I was able to stay there at 20 and 19 since I know some places have a rule that you must 21. When I called I spoke with Brenda the assistant general manager, and right after I told her my age and that it was spring break for us, she immediately started to make unnecessary comments to me. A few were "If you plan on bringing alcohol and inviting a lot of people to have a party in our hotel, then don't even bother coming here", (thank you Brenda for assuming such things, I am glad that we were able to prove you wrong.) and then she said "Our hotels are not meant for parties, and also you are only 20 you are underage, and drinking is illegal." (thank you for the information, I know how old I am Brenda, and I know what is legal and what is not.). After the remarks, Brenda ultimately told me that yes, I was allowed to book a room with them at my age, so I continued to plan our trip. When arriving at the hotel, my boyfriend and I walked into the hotel to check into our room. When standing at the counter Brenda was the first to greet us and she asked my name and age, I told her those things. And who I believe was the General Manager (not sure of her name, think it may have been Kim, as no one wore name tags or had the sign up for manager on duty.) of the hotel snapped at us and said, "no you are not allowed to stay here unless you are 21 years old." And I told her that I called 5 days before we were set to check in and I was told by Brenda, who was checking us in, that we were allowed to stay at our ages. She then proceeded to tell us that the rule had just changed a couple of days ago because they had, had some issues with minors drinking at the bar. (Yes, I am a minor, I am sorry, but I don't know how that pertains to me as you should be able to have someone capable of checking IDs to see if the person is of age or not. That doesn't fall on me.). She then said, "If you plan on coming back to SD, don't you plan on staying with us again because you are not allowed". and then said, "If there is any sign of alcohol in your room, you will be asked to pack up and leave the hotel." At this point, I was ready to walk out the door and find another hotel to stay at.I understood that yes, it was spring break, and we are underage, but even as a 20-year-old, I felt as though the managers of this hotel could have handled this situation with much more respect for their customers.Eventually, we got our keys to our room and were able to get settled in. The next day, our keys were disabled for some reason, we went to the front desk after attempting to get into our room after a day of adventuring, and we spent 15 minutes trying to get someone to reset our keys. I called the hotel 4 times trying to get someone to come out to answer the phones, but that didn't work, so, I eventually started walking around knocking on the hotel staff doors, when I believe Kim finally came out from the back room and blamed it on that they haven't set up a way for them to know when people are at the front desk. I noticed that there were 2 bells they had hidden behind the counter, that could have been set out for customers. On checkout day after loading the car up, the lady working the front desk, (not sure of her name) was standing outside and had seen us loading the car. We walked to the front desk, where we waited for someone to help us, as the lady stood outside watching us wait, through the window, as she had to finish her cigarette. (Yes, people get breaks, but customers should come first.)You will not have to worry about my business ever again, even when I am 21 and am "allowed" back!Hope you know now that not every college student goes on spring break to party.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Staff at all points during our stay were friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub area were clean and well serviced. The restaurant had great service and food.

The lady at the front desk when we checked in yesterday afternoon was very kind and helpful! Our room was just what we expected clean and comfortable. We ate supper and couldn't have had a better meal. The chef Cercie Usher did an amazing job with the chicken Alfredo for my husband. Our appetizer was great. I had a club sandwich and it was way more than I could eat. Cercie was our waitress, server and chef. You can tell she enjoys her job. We have stayed here before but have never had the opportunity to eat supper. Glad we were able to enjoy an excellent meal without having to drive anywhere.

This hotel is in a great location. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the beds. We spent 7 nights there. The hotel food was fantastic. Everything is fresh and delicious. The food portions tend to be large, so consider sharing if you don't have large appetites.

The Hilton Garden Inn Rapid City in South Dakota is centrally located and offers a variety of conveniences for guests. The modern rooms are designed with comfort in mind, and there's also an indoor pool and a gym on site.

Room was clean, staff was friendly, prices were fair and staff helped anyway they could with any questions and requests we had. This is our go to hotel when in Rapid City. Located right next to Fleet Farm and a gas station which is so convenient. This is our favorite hotel and we will from now on only stay at this hotel. Loved that there was an elevator as we had quite the load of luggage and stayed on the fourth floor. 10/10 recommended Hilton Garden Inn in Rapid City!

Great breakfast! Highly recommend the omelette! Good location, just off the interstate. It's maybe a 10 minute drive to the downtown area. The room itself was fine, very clean! Although I could understand if somebody was wanting a room with a view, room 223 does not have a good view lol. The room is also next to the elevator, so there's lots of noise (foot traffic/people talking). Other than that the service was excellent and they have friendly staff.

It seems to be an issue others have experienced in reviews here too, but I was woken up around 2am with the strongest smell of skunk/weed. The hallways even started to smell of it. I couldn't end up falling back asleep and I ended up just leaving. By far one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with a hotel.Everything else was fine, room was neat, and staff was nice.

Close by the freeway but you don't hear it. Good clean rooms. Very quiet. Excellent staff and their hands off check in worked perfectly. Great place to stay.

A nice hotel with clean and spacious rooms. Beds are comfortable. Front desk staff Mary and breakfast lady (don’t remember her name) are both very friendly and helpful. My only complain and the reason for the four star is that breakfast is not complimentary for Hilton Diamond members at Hilton Garden Inn.

Joanne Dong — Google review

290.00 for one night in a room that doesn’t appear to have been cleaned. Hair all over the bathroom and in my towel. Conditioner dried to the shower wall. The level of cleanliness is what I would expect from a 70.00 motel.

For the most part, Hilton is always great. We stayed one night to go to Badlands which is about an hour away. Check in was fast and easy. You can also check in on the apps and pick your room.We got room 108 on the first floor, across the hall from the gym and indoor pool. The room has two queen size bed. Comfortable bed. Nice closet.Bathroom wasn’t as clean. Found blond hair strands. The bathroom lock was also broken. Breakfast is an additional charge.Pros:-Microwave-Fridge-Full length mirror-Lots of electrical outlets-Free parking-keurig machineCons:-No safe-Bathroom door lock is broken-Bathroom not so clean (found blond strands of hair)Overall, it was a decent one night stay.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Rapid City. The hotel including rooms were incredibly clean. The rooms were very spacious as well. Stacy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful I would without a doubt stay here again

Room was and still is good.Disappointed they charge $8 per person for continental breakfast.Especially when there's a Denny's a block away.Just add breakfast to the cost of the room. Pay for a cr*ppy breakfast is very disturbing. Will probably find a different favorite hotel. Breakfast is a minor thing in itself, but the idea of charging extra it what this review is about.

What a fantastic place!!! From the moment I walked in, the staff has gone above and beyond to help and make me feel welcome. The room was immaculate and in perfect condition. Anything I needed, everyone was there to help in any way they could. I ended up staying an extra day because I had been treated so well. Will be back for sure!!

Appreciate the ease of searching, booking, checking in, digital keys, and checking out online. Clean. Standard amenities. Reasonably priced. Great location! Cobs: a high school/college sports team rolled in and took over the lobby using absolutely foul and inappropriate language, not to mention the noise, after 10:30 pm and check-in clerk did nothing to control it, but instead kept the pool open for them after hours. They ran up and down halls banging on doors up into the night.

Ross and Justin were fantastic, but so were other staff, I am sad I didn't jot down their names, the bartender and the various servers at breakfast. One other staff member at the front desk immediately started helping me troubleshoot when I told him some elders were lost on their way back from the Badlands..I am so grateful for that he listened while I stressed about it. They even went out of their way to do several things for us to make sure everyone had a room. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was amazing, we got to have our meetings in their with our friends and there were two tvs and lots of desk space. We stayed in a king room on our way out of town, very clean and nice as well..though we faced the roof and hvac units, so I will just be sure to ask about which direction we face next time...the curtain doesn't go all the way down in that room, and even tho it is on the roof, it is kind a creepy lol. There was a loud noise in that king room...I feel like it was the fridge, or maybe the hvac units on the roof? it was very loud like someone was showering constantly, but we were tired anyway. Although breakfast was simple, it was very filling and I enjoyed two rounds. My burger and fries was delicious. The restaurant closed at 8pm...which I found very early....

Highly recommend. The staff is super friendly, rooms very clean and quiet. Good location off I-90 and not far from mall and restaurants. Stayed 6 days and felt like I was home.

Rooms are clean but 3 stays in a row there was no soap or shampoo in the rooms. Also the bar/ kitchen staff like to converse in the back and not serve customers. 30 minute wait between drinks and there are only 3 people here. Will look into other hotels in the area in the future.

Long but perfect review. Check in was super fast and easy and our room was extremely clean as always. After having dinner and returning for the night my wife and I walked in and was greeted by Stacy asking how packed town was and explained that there was a monster truck show and we could still make it if we wanted but declined and explained we were coming to relax a bit because it's my wife's birthday and we had been shopping all day. Without hesitation she quickly and extremely cheerful said happy birthday and offered my wife something free from their snack lounge or beverage cooler and before my wife could choose Stacy's colleague Tahlia popped up around the corner and asked what was her favorite wine and within 15 seconds brought her 2 different types of wine my wife's absolutely loves to choose from all free of charge. We get back to the room and I call back down to the front desk to ask how to spell their names and AGAIN Stacy offers us cookies to be sent to our room!! Now these 2 young women are what is keeping what little faith we have left in this world alive and why we always stay at the Hilton garden. These two women deserve the upmost respect, promotions and raises for going above and beyond just to make our night that much better. MY DEEPEST AND MOST HEART FELT GRATITUDE TO STACY AND TAHLIA!!!!! THR ABSOLUTE BEST HOSTESSES IVR EVER MET!!!!

On a cross country trip, finding a comfortable, clean room is really all you are hoping for. We got that for sure and rested well overnight. The front desk was very pleasant and helpful, and the hotel itself was clean and well appointed. Most notable was the service staff, and the servers in the restaurant and bar were very engaging and pleasant. All in all a very nice place to lay over on the way west and I would definitely stay here again when passing through Rapid City!

Very nice hotel, clean, super great staff, but holy god the walls are thinner than paper. You can hear EVERYTHING in adjoining rooms. It's not a good look. I've stayed here twice but this seems like a major oversight.

After being turned downed by 3 different hotels, Hilton Garden Inn told us they had a room for us! It was honestly so relieving. Checking in was easy and the room was clean, fresh, and smelled good which is a big plus. The staff was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. The restaurant staff was amazing and stayed later than they were supposed to for us which was very kind and thoughtful of them. Overall a very nice and relaxing experience. Thank you so much!!

We've been coming back to Rapid for years since I was a grad student at the School of Mines. Have been staying at all the hotels around the Watiki water park only because they were convenient. But, all their prices are nuts for what you get, so tried this place instead. An obvious improvement, score, wonderful place, and fair price. Finally!!!! Attractive entryway and reception, rooms super clean and large, bed comforters just right (not too thick), AC very quiet, shower with plenty of water pressure and constant temperature, and even better location near the freeway interchange. No brainer on choosing this hotel from now on, period!!!!!!!

Staying in a Staybridge Suites Rapid City hotel can be a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, while still being close enough to all the local attractions. The IHG Hotel offers an indoor pool, free breakfast bar each morning, and a variety of room types and sizes to accommodate any need you may have.

Roomy suite with a kitchen. Everything was clean and seemed new. The beds were comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and was high enough for tall people. There is a nice back patio area to sit out by a fire. Good location near the highways without the noise. The breakfast and dinner service was staffed by extremely nice and helpful people. The whole staff seemed committed to ensuring you had a great stay!

Genuinely friendly staff everywhere you turn. Amazing breakfast spread every morning. Clean rooms and common areas. Very comfortable beds with a generous assortment of pillows to satisfy every type of sleeper. Quiet. Great location with a lot of restaurants nearby. They even have a social hour during the week, but we didn't make it back in time to take advantage. The room was perfect, spacious, and comfortable for our family of four with everything we needed and more - was so nice to have a fridge, cabinets, dishes, a stove, microwave. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub every night, and really appreciated the free guest laundry - it was great to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes! And all for what I thought was a GREAT price. If I was forced to find one negative thing to say, about the only thing I could come up with is that the towels weren't very soft, lol. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I honestly wish every hotel experience could be like this.

We are in SD for a few days and are staying at the StayBridge. We have a two bedroom, two bath suite and it is so great! Close to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Mammoth Site and Custer State Park. The hotel is pet-friendly, serves breakfast and has a social hour from 5:30-7 Monday - Wednesday. FYI if you need to stay here for a longer period of time they have a laundry room on the first floor!Would definitely state here again!!

We loved our stay here. We were on our way through Rapid City and made our reservation for the same day, the front desk staff was super helpful as we got in that evening. We weren't really expecting more than a bed and a tv but the suites are beautiful and clean. Full sized refrigerator and dishwasher in the kitchen along with plates/bowls/cups. Dog friendly! The breakfast was great, waffles, cereal, eggs, oatmeal etc plus it was clean and sanitary. They also had a great coffee/tea bar. Would 10/10 recommend this hotel especially for an extended stay!

The best hotel experience one can have in Rapid City. I've spent many a night in just about every hotel in Rapid. This is by far my favorite. Rooms were extremely clean. Beds were amazing, like sleeping on a cloud. Staff was friendly. Great environment all around. I tend to nit pick when it comes to hotels but this place had me stumped. I know where me and my family will be staying from here on out!

This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. My family and I spent a week here and between the amazing staff who was always friendly and the amazing rooms I felt like I was at home away from home. It was great being greeted at breakfast every morning by a friendly face or the surprise that 3 days a week they have a social event with a dinner for the guests all included in your stay. I know if I’m ever in rapid city again I will be staying here. The location is nice as well kind of on the outskirts yet an east drive to any of the tourist destinations in the area.

Cody Mammenga (Codeman) — Google review

This place is a pleasant surprise. The beds are soft and perfect. The entire hotel is spotless. They had a social dinner last night. This meant free tacos, beer, and wine in the lounge for everyone. They also have the best outside patio with a fire pit, BBQ grills, and cornhole boards. This morning we are going downstairs to a large free breakfast.

The Staybridge Suites in Rapid City, SD is a great place to stay. It is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to accommodate your needs. They serve a wonderful breakfast and on Monday-Wednesday they serve dinner. The pool is clean and you can wash your clothes for free just provide your own laundry detergent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is coming to the Black Hills.

Checked in today and am SO very impressed with the beautiful room (like a newer apartment) with a full kitchen (full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, microwave) and a beautiful lobby and outside area in back. INCREDIBLY CLEAN!! SPOTLESS! Friendly front desk employees, and the whole place is immaculate! Have traveled from Washington state to Kentucky and back three times in the last six months and along different routes and have stayed at so many places that were not nearly this nice and a lot of them higher priced (some disgusting) and I really appreciate a CLEAN room. Prices change seasonally but for around $100, this place is a steal. Stayed in Deadwood last night for $30 more at a top rated hotel and it was not nearly this nice or this clean. Definitely recommend! Way to go Staybridge Rapid City!!

Perfection. That’s the only way this hotel could be described. Out of the many hotels myself and my family have stayed at this one is the very best. I would even go as far as saying there are probably some resorts that this place beats out. The service is unmatched, the room and overall aesthetic was a very modern easy on the eyes look. The amenities go far above and beyond any other hotel. The breakfast is almost all fresh with a wide spread of hot foods and there even were freshly made pastries! They have evening dinner time socials from time to time, the pool is a better size than most, and the fitness room Had most of the Essentials. Our room had an actual kitchen with a stove, utensils , a full size fridge and microwave. There really is no way that you can get much better than this. The winter prices are better than those of some of the inferior hotels as well. A must for those with a family!

Casey Bird — Google review

Rooms are large, beds clean and comfortable. Food is typical breakfast. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is the shower head needs replaced or cleaned with CLR. Low pressure shower heads are really low with calcium buildup. Good location and the AC can be turned on all the time to keep out any noise.

One of my very favourite hotels. I travel the world and it really provides a home feel. I wish there were more of these! Super friendly staff and well worth the few extra dollars. It’s all the little things that add up to a great place to stay. Especially when away from home for a while.

This hotel is the best! I loved the workout room and pool. There were plenty of towels. Everything was spotless and clean. The suite rooms were amazing with dishwasher and full fridge. There's free laundry and the breakfast buffet is the best we've ever had. There are over 7 types of fresh fruit, vanilla yogurt, waffles, varied cereals and hot items, muffins, milk, eggs, coffee. The staff at breakfast were so friendly and kind.

I am sooo picky and this might just be my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Where do I even start!?Everything felt so welcoming. They left little jars of chocolates (my kids loved this)and also treats for your dog in the lobby. There’s a den with board games, fire pit out back, the pool and fitness center are so well kept and the breakfast (and service at breakfast- so friendly and super attentive) was exceptional. There was always hot coffee 24/7.Most importantly the entire place was clean…. The rooms, hallways, elevators… all of it.You just don’t find hotels that are this clean in all areas very often anymore.I loved that everything was so clean but there was never an overwhelming chemical cleaner smell. Our room was so REFRESHING after having had to leave another hotel in the area for lack of cleanliness.Every inch of that room was CLEAN. We used the pullout bed too and the inside of the couch cushions and all under the couch and mattress were literally spotless. The extra bedding for the pullout was so nice and cozy.Someone is doing something right at this hotel and the entire team there must be dedicated to keeping their hotel amazing…All the STARS!! ✨🤩 Can’t wait to come back next time we visitI attached the few pictures I happened to take. I should have taken more.

This was our last night in a 4,000+ mile road trip and it was by far the best room of the trip (mostly Holiday Inn Express). The noise level of the a/c heater was low and constant and temperature constant. I got a very good night's sleep before our last day of 13 hours of driving. The shower was excellent and separate from the sink so that more than one person can get ready at the same time. The room was roomy and clean.

Very nice hotel, I would give it 5 stars but for the encounter:On 11/29/2023, I got back to the hotel at 5:50pm coming off a 12 hour shift, I put my bag down at the table and was about to enjoy the complementary dinner. An older gentleman overseeing the dinner asked if he could see my key card. No problem, I showed him my key card, however he then said “we have a homeless issue, and they look like you”. This is unacceptable, I showed him my key card and it should have ended there.I stayed at this hotel before and had an excellent experience.Confirmation #46401301

Absolutely the best experience! We stayed a week and felt so at home and welcomed. Super clean with spacious well appointed rooms, lobby, nicest breakfast area I’ve seen (much much nicer than in other hotels). Exceptional breakfast (great assortment of well prepared foods) AND Happy Hour (delicious foods and nice drink selection) with a very friendly and attentive staff. Spacious laundry room, nice pol and hot tub, lovely outdoor space with fire pit. Great home base for visiting the Badlands, Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, and Spearfish. Superb!

The Best Western Plus Rapid City Rushmore is a comfortable and relaxed hotel perfect for tourists visiting the Black Hills. It features an indoor pool, free Wi-Fi, and a complimentary breakfast to ensure you have everything you need during your stay.

The room was great the bed and pillows were comfy. My only problem with all the hotels we check into is the toilet paper. Lol I know it seems crazy. But if I'm paying for a room the toilet paper shouldn't be like toilet paper I get in truck stops. 10 sheets of cheap toilet paper vs. 4 sheets of good toilet paper. Heck Sam's club generic is better than hotel

The team at Best Western Plus was so helpful and nice! They were friendly and made sure we knew all the hotel features. We booked on the road, and they were able to ensure we still had a room by the door to the pet relief area. The hotel itself was extremely clean and modern. The beds were one of the most comfy hotel beds we’ve had in a long time! The coffee and tea station was available all the time and had a great variety of tea, coffee, and accompaniments.

Obviously new or updated hotel. The room was quite large, and did not look dated at all. Very good, hot breakfast. Kids enjoyed the pool - said it was salt instead of chlorine - and hubby used the fitness center. We were very pleased with this stay.

We were thankful to find a place with an opening and pet friendly late at night. The place was nearly spotless, friendly & helpful staff, and there was even a little pet area in the back. The breakfast was fresh and so so good! Best cheesy omelettes of any hotel I've ever stayed at! Well worth a little more money than other places nearby!

Nice venu, clean & new. Very poor service. We were quietly chatting in the lobby, and the male desk clerk at 9PM was playing obnoxious music. My wife requested he play something more appropriate (soft music). He advised her he could not play anything different as it was his personal playlist from his phone, and it was set for “random”.Very rude for an employee to refuse to honor a guests request. Surprised that such a nice venue would accept such rude behavior and train their employee so poorly.

Rick Overholt — Google review

Clean, well kept rooms and common areas. Very friendly staff. Priced properly when comparing to other places I've visited in the area. Not a big fan of their hot breakfast, I can't really explain what they do differently but it just tastes weird to me, like everything is steamed too hot or something, but the juice selection was nice and there were ok cold food options. Across the street is an awesome drive thru coffee place that had awesome food and coffee, I would recommend going there. There's also a lot of other restaurants very close by that we enjoyed during our stay, so my taste buds aren't off. Hopefully they can change whatever they do differently for their breakfast, but otherwise a great stay in a really convenient location.

I can honestly say that this hotel it is the best that I have stayed. In a while. The breakfast is on point. The staff is nice sweet understanding and very helpful. The amenities are amazing well taking care of and the area is very clean. I can give you a honest survey I have been here for 4 days. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms are clean.

Arrived on a Sunday evening to book a one night stay. We like to stay at Best Western Plus Hotels due to their pet friendly policies. We’ve stayed at many before with great results, but this specific stop was by far our worst. Check in staff were not helpful, would not look up account for points, and assigned a fourth floor room after requesting first floor. Upon entering the room and going to adjust the temperature, there was blood on the curtain and air conditioner. I returned to the desk to report it and get a different room, and staff stated they were glad I had come back down because the other front desk worker “was not supposed to give me that room”. Was then assigned a first floor room 128. No issues in there until going to take a shower later. Upon spreading the shower curtain open from where it had been bunched off to the left side, I discovered a wet and dirty wash cloth hanging on top of the shower bar from a previous guest’s stay.Breakfast and convenience of location were fine, but the cleanliness and staff customer service was greatly lacking, especially for the price. Would not stay here again.

Will diffently stay here again. Price was great. Location was central to why we were here in Rapid City SD. Plus central to all the great sites to see, Mt Rushmore, Badlands, etc...We were close to a variety of restaurants and stores, and gas stations. The breakfast was different each morning and well stocked. Fresh fruit, cereals, oatmeal (packets) and a large pot one morning. They were plenty of seating, the most I've seen so far. The breakfast staff was friendly! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. . They made sure we had everything we needed. We needed some direction and they pointed us in the right direction. The room was very comfortable and spacious. We had a king bed, super comfortable. There was a chair & footstool in the corner. Nice Big TV, very cold mini refrigerator, and microwave. Coffee maker with plenty of wrapped cups. The room was so comfortable that it was sad when we had to leave. They had coffee in the lobby, available 24 hrs a day. The lobby was also home to a cooler with beverages, frozen microwaveable items, and assorted candy, snacks ,and ibuprofen and other items along this line for sale. It seems like they had finished updating. There is an indoor pool and a hot tub. The fitness center had nice equipment plenty of room for several people to workout at a time.If you need a great place to stay check out the Best Western plus in Rapid City SD.

Easy access on the east side of Rapid. New hotel. The front desk GM and girl were pleasant and accommodating with our split week reservations due to using rewards points. The room was nice and clean upon arrival. No room services were available possibly due to employee shortage? The room was a mess after a couple of days. The pool is nice sized as is the hot tub. Not too crowded at all midweek.Breakfast was fairly simple as you would expect from a hotel. Usually a couple of warm options along with the usually staples (yogurt, pastries, toast, and others).

Andy Galles — Google review

This hotel gets high ratings from a multitude of evaluative websites. In fact, it was listed as Rapid City’s best hotel. Rapid City isn’t much, but calling the Best Western its best hotel, is a travesty.Located on the edge of town, off the freeway, the setting couldn’t be uglier. The rooms are bland, with nothing distinctive. You might as well be staying at a Y. The best thing about this hotel was the long haired guy at the front desk who was very helpful. The TV remote was limiting, and wouldn’t allow us to utilize the Roku we travel with. While the hotel is new, cheap is cheap, and staring out the window at the commercial strip malls and electrical power installations, was the epitome of depressing. It was late, and restaurants were probably closed. We utilized the so called “room service” menu. It was delivery from some chain chicken/pizza joint called Boss’s chicken/pizza and the food was disgusting. The chicken was greasy and upset our stomachs. The next day we fled the hotel and Rapid City, glad to leave it in our rear view mirror.

Good location-close to restaurants and a WalMart. Seemed brand new! Workout room had weights, treadmill, elliptical, bike, yoga mats and cable machine which we appreciated. Pool and hot tub were nice and good sized. Tasty breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, etc.

Great location for entry to Mount Rushmore and other sites. The attendant at the front desk was very courteous and helped us with advice on how to make the most of our visit. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

We really enjoyed our recent 5-day stay at this hotel! It was located in the perfect location to be near many conveniences/stores such as Target, Travel Plazas, Auto Zone and many quality restaurants that were open later hours as compared to the surrounding towns. We enjoyed making day trips to Custer and Keystone from our hotel each day. The room was clean, staff was very kind and helpful, great breakfast each morning and nice pool/hot tub and workout facility. Beds were comfortable. Nice air conditioner as it was very hot in summer! My only complaint would be the floor in the shower was a little slick (there was not a grippy surface) and it also sloped downhill...I felt as if I may slip so I stood on a hand towel for all my showers for more traction. Other than that small issue; our experience was great and I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Great Location . Newer hotel ( I'd say it's probably 3-4 years ) Very comfortable and spacious rooms . Great AC . Quiet location . Excellent complementary breakfast. Just 20 min away from Mount Rushmore. Lots of free parking . Overall a great stay .Based on all I've mentioned here ...I'd say it is definitely 4 or 5 star hotel in my opinion.Forget about the 2 stars that is rated as ...it's not accurate or a reflection of this hotel .I have stayed at plenty of four or five stars rated hotels that I've had a less enjoyable stay at.This location has many restaurants within walking distance. Gas ..right there across the street. Access to highways within 1 minute which makes it super convenient while being far enough away that you don't hear that highway traffic noise. There's complementary coffee waiting for you in the lobby 24 hours a day 7 days a week which offers coffee, tea, hot chocolate and also apple cider which was a unique touch .This is my 1st time in the area as how is passing through from relocating from Toronto Ontario and moving across the country towards Calgary Alberta. This location and hotel is so great in fact , that I will be definitely planning to revisit this hotel and explore all the amazing things with my family that I noticed that are nearby such as tourist attractions, great restaurants great shopping and probably much more that I was able to notice as I only had time for an overnight stay .If your traveling with family or small children this would definitely be a great spot to stop in at.If you're a couple looking for a nice quiet getaway with some nice things around and an amazing overall experience this is a great stop to stop in at.If you're traveling alone like me today.. rest assured THIS is the stop for you .Safe and happy travels everyone. And the big thank you to the gentleman who's running the front desk during the night shift he did an outstanding job.

Called the day before I booked to see if pool and hot tub was open. They said yes. Come here with my husband and 2 kids. The hot tub was cold when we got in it. it bleached our swim suits both kids were crying I asked if the hot tub was always that cool and they told me the chemicals were off and it was closed. There was no sign wrecked swim suits and it’s very frustrating.

We stayed here with young kids (4, 6, and 8) and we had no complaints. The room was small for all of us, but we were able to sleep comfortably. The hot tub and pool were nice, although the pool could have been a few degrees warmer. The breakfast was fine, a wide variety of items for everyone, but the coffee is terrible. Go to Scooters for a great cup. It was fun to see cows in the hills right behind the hotel.

Easy to find this particular hotel! It was located near the Interstate! Lots of room in the lobby area and it was clean. The hotel clerk didn't rush you through check-in which I really appreciated as there was a bit of a line up. I noticed they had a pool and a little convenience store section. Rooms were nice and clean and fully stocked with everything one would expect. I really liked the great service and I would go back for that 😃

The luxurious Hotel Alex Johnson Rapid City, Curio Collection by Hilton offers a variety of rooms and amenities ideal for travelers with pets. With free WiFi in public areas and a 24-hour gym, this hotel is perfect for anyone looking to stay in a 1920's landmark hotel.

No complaints here about this hotel! The rooms were very clean and had very nice comfortable beds! We also were able to choose what floor we wanted to stay on! The staff was kind enough to also let us bring our luggage early while we waited for checking in while we toured around town. We also needed a place for our luggage for a couple hours after check out and they let us hold our bags there then too!It was great having a workout facility and a couple restaurants to hang out at as well during our stay! I highly recommend checking this place out!

We love the historic charm of the Alex Johnson but were disappointed by the lack of cleanliness. Our room had hair on the walls of the bathroom and one of the windows had a damaged blind. As others have stated the carpet desperately needs to be shampooed. There were cups and utensils outside of the 9th floor elevators when we arrived and they were still there when we checked out. Our shower’s shampoo bottle was empty and the shower door had a gap so the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. We loved our time at paddy’s and although we enjoyed the vertex we found the servers to be incredibly rude. We went to the bar to order drinks and were told to move because we were in their way. We live locally so we don’t often stay in town but will recommend other places to family visiting the area. The hotel represents a rundown poorly maintained establishment more than a luxury hotel. The Rushmore hotel seems like a much better option for a comparable price.

What a find! A quaint, historic hotel with just enough modern improvements to be comfortable! Okay, the elevator was a little tight, but they are working on it.Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. We enjoyed a relaxing evening of drinks and dinner in the top-floor restaurant at a table by windows over-looking the city. Breakfast was at the less formal restaurant on the first floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. We could not have been more pleased with our stay.

Jayme Howland — Google review

I understand they will be updating the rooms soon. The cleaning person left a coffee cup of tea in our refrigerator when we arrived! The window cover was broken. On our checkout day, the cleaning lady was knocking on all the doors at 9am. I thought that was rude. We checked out a half hour early. The bar downstairs was a 10+ for food and drinks. The check-in person advised us to eat across the street. We were not impressed. The rooftop bar was breathtaking! The surrounding shops and bars were so much fun. The hotel has a lot history... all in all I had a nice time.

First, the positives are location and charm. The historic restored building is within easy walking distance of downtown Rapid City. It is easy to access from all points of entry. It is convenient to all the major tourist attractions. However, for our entire four night stay the service was unacceptable. There is no bell staff. Be prepared to take your own luggage out of your car, negotiate a small elevator and tight hallways yourself. Parking is a nightmare. Self parking is not really an option so plan on valet parking at an additional $25 per night. The text and web based vehicle retrieval system failed twice for me leading to even longer than usual delays. I recommend a minimum of thirty minutes notice if you need your car. That was at off peak times. Our loaded pickup was left with doors open at the curb with nobody in sight one morning. Luckily we had an extra key so we didn't miss an appointment. This fairly expensive hotel continues the Covid era tradition of no daily housekeeping. We requested housekeeping service each of three mornings and it was done once. I am a long time Hilton customer and was disappointed.

Steve Lang — Google review

Such a neat historic hotel! Very clean, service was great, and they loved our pup! It is unfortunate that the parking makes it hard to unload but we were lucky to grab a metered spot across the street for the three days we were there. The rooms are a little small but that was to be expected as it was built when people had less stuff! Very cool to see the wall of all the celebrities who have stayed in the hotel. I hope they always allow pets as it was SO convenient to be able to have our dog with us in the room and the connecting restaurants.

Can't get any classier than Alex Johnson Hotel! Absolutely beautiful hotel that is rich with history. Hotel room was clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the city.Cynthia checked us in and was so nice! She let us know of delicious restaurants nearby and even checked on us via text message to make sure our room was up to par.If you have an opportunity to stay at this hotel during your trip to Rapid City, definitely stay here! I highly recommend it!

Anna Gomez — Google review

Very nice hotel with great location downtown. Smaller rooms and very small bathroom but we knew that ahead of time and didn't care about that. Very interesting and unique old hotel with lots of history. Unique original items but yet updated on many amenities for comfort. Can only do Valet parking for $25/night unless you can find a metered parking spot on street like we did and then downloaded the App and woke up at 6am to pay for spot until we checked out. Only cost about $4 for spot until 11am so well worth waking up to prepay on the app.Definitely would recommend for anyone staying in Rapid City!

Successful travel depends on a couple key components. Where you stay is critical, so choose wisely. The Alex Johnson added so much to my journey, I was tempted to add a day just to soak up what Rapid City and the Alex Johnson had to offer. Very clean. Very well maintained. Excellent staff. By that I mean friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Great rooms, centrally located. Your travel experience will definitely be enhanced by the Alex Johnson Hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this Hotel on a whim. Best decision ever! We loved the charm and the majority of the staff. The desk clerk, Cynthia was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about the local area and places to go, things to do. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, Vertex. Elk Ravioli and Flat Bread was delicious! Drinks outside with the fire pits going set a very romantic tone.

Krystal Wied — Google review

The service was nice and the location couldn't be any better in downtown and close to everything! But the room was very tiny. Before you book, keep in mind you need to check all the amenities and don't go with the usual Hilton chain standard that, if you book a king or two queens, there would be plenty of space. I booked a king and there was no way to fit a working desk in the room and the bathroom was very very tiny. I'm not so sure how a 6ft tall person would do anything in that bathroom. Also, remember: this is an old building turned into a hotel: there were no power outlets on the walls at all, I had to use the ones at the base of the night stand lamp. Also the inside door knob of my bathroom required maintenance, I could not open the door once I was locked inside the bathroom without some major MacGyver skills. One of the elevators was broken, so a little extra patience was required but it's comforting to see they are planning a new elevator shaft. Their root top restaurant was top notch (best view in town!!) and they also have a Starbucks at site, but you can't charge to your room. If you're in town for vacation and want to sleep in for a little bit, keep in mind they are starting work nearby for a new development and it gets very noisy. Lastly, if you grab drinks or sundries from their pantry, that does not count towards the $15 daily credit. I was told something different at check-in than the correct information they made me aware at check-out.

Paulo Oliveira — Google review

Love this historic hotel! The rooftop bar was amazing and Connor is THE MAN with his amazing service! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, the shop connected to the lobby was full of great merchandise and best of all there is a Starbucks connected. Only concern was valet when we pulled up. The gentleman at the front asked if we checked in and said we had to make it quick bc he was almost done. I was hesitant to give him our car but we aren't familiar with the area. I don't mind paying for valet but a smile with "Welcome to the Alex Johnson " would have eased me when we arrived.

Staying at the Alex Johnson is a delightful change from the boring, hom*ogenized experience of most hotel chains. This classy historical hotel built in 1928, provides a feast-for-the eyes experience the moment you set foot in the beautiful lobby with its Indian-gothic architectural details. If you get a chance, check out the hotel ballroom which is equally impressive. Our 2 double bed room was bright, tidy and neat, and well appointed. The roof-top Vertex Sky Bar was dazzling. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, upbeat, professional and accommodating. The check in process with Patrick at the front desk was pleasant and seamless. After unloading our baggage, I parked the car in the metered parking garage a block away with no problem, no muss, no fuss. This unique hotel is an amazing hidden gem and is highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience stopping back in time! Excellent hotel. We stop in Rapid City often but this time wanted to be downtown. Old world elegance and easy walking to restaurants. Thanks for keeping this legendary hotel alive.

Tom Kelly — Google review

Our hotel room was kind of old but clean. The staff was quite pleasant. However, very upsetting was the fact that after 10 days of grueling work and little sleep and then spending a full day traveling to Rapid City and looking very much forward to a great night’s sleep, at 6:50 AM one or more dogs in the next-door room started barking and whining. It did not stop for 45 minutes - so much for a relaxing first day of vacation. (Where were the owners?) Reception offered only that it is a dog friendly hotel. They did not alert us in advance that they were putting us next to a dog pound. This thoughtlessness makes me knock the rating considerably. Shame.

michael kent — Google review

Overall my stay was great. Clean rooms and friendly service. The restaurant/bar is convenient to have in house. Tally's, the best food in Rapid bar none, is across the street. Views from the roof top terrace offer an amazing view of Rapid City. The building is a great historical experience. Two negatives; Parking is dicey and the elevator is very old and slow. It's key pad won't operate with the Hilton phone app, so a room key is unavoidable.

Bryan Kendrick — Google review

Old hotel with overall terrible service starting from the quality of cleaning all the way up to management. They rate themselves as being one of the oldest hotels in the downtown area with the architecture and feel of something upscale...but walking in you can only get a feel for something out of American horror story. Once you check in though get ready for the scams to come. Either valet your car or risk parking somewhere on the streets overnight only until 7am. And then plan to move your car every 2 hrs due to city parking time limits. Valet is slow to bring your car around. My car was towed when legally parked after being told by the front desk concierge that I'd be fine to do so instead of valeting to wake up and leave for work to find my car missing. $175 later and explaining the situation to the hotel GM, they said after speaking to their employee he did warn me, which was a complete lie on his behalf to save his own job, and I would not be reimbursed for any fees and I should have looked on social media. Clearly customer service is not something management cares about and I'd tell anyone to go down the street to the Rushmore! The Vertex sky bar food is over priced and draws people in based off requiring a membership or renting a room. NOT worth it at all just for a city view. If you want Hilton points I also recommend the Hilton Garden Inn. Very nice staff, clean rooms, great for business travel and convenient to highways to get around quickly. For any company traveling, prices are very low at the AJ and these reasons completely support it. Don't fall for this downtown scam!

If you are looking for a place to give you a little chill on the back of your neck this hotel is for you. You will want to stay on the 8th floor as that's where a lot of activity happens. Stayed here with my boyfriend and we both saw the lady in white. I had some stuff happen in our room but my boyfriend said that was the best he has slept in awhile. The only thing I would change is the pillows. Me and my boyfriend sleep with two pillows each and there was only 3 in the room but that won't keep us from coming back !The valet parking is on the pricey side but definitely worth it. Especially on a cold night. Definitely will be back to stay again! Thank you everyone for the awesome service.Definitely recommend checking out the sky bar if you are there!

Having visited this hotel and enjoyed a pleasant stay before, we stayed a couple nights while on our honeymoon recently. It is a historic hotel; charming, but know the rooms are fairly small. They are updated nicely however. Our rooms were clean and kept well. The price was probably in line for the season. I knew that due to construction in the area and no access to the parking garage we'd used in years past, we would either have to walk 3 blocks after finding parking ourselves, or use the valet parking which is somewhat pricy especially after considering a tip. However, this information came from an acquaintance, not from the hotel staff. The valet service was not horrid for our stay, but kind of hit and miss on their level of friendliness. I feel like they should have more people on staff. My main issue with this stay was with the front desk staff. Check in was listed on my confirmation as 3:00, however changed to 4:00 without notification. When we did check in, we had some confusion as to which desk we should be at and I noticed a little bit of perceived attitude coming from Cynthia at the front desk. Also, while some guests may appreciate her off color sense of humor, some may not. More of a sense of service, helpfulness and appreciation towards your guests may be in order. Anyone that is in a position to greet guests as the first representative of your hotel should be very service minded with guests made to feel welcome with the hospitality this hotel was undoubtedly built upon.

My husband and I were so excited to secure room #812 (the hotel’s notoriously most haunted room). The staff were excellent and inviting. The location and amenities were perfect. We knew the rooms and beds would be on the smaller side given the age of the hotel, but the room was more than adequate. The preservation of history here is impressive- there were so many relics all around. Such a delight, we stayed for 3 nights. Can’t wait for our next visit, already planning our future stay! Shoutout to Cynthia, Erik, & Laura!

What a fun hotel. It's decor is from the late 50 s maybe earlier It's how you imagine a western hotel cozy. They have a Starbucks and a Irish bar attached as well as a gift shop. Nicely centrally located and lots of history and famous people have stayed. They have a rooftop restaurant opened in the evening. Rooms are clean and nice as they used to be.

Tina Langnes — Google review

Always wanted to stay at the Alex Johnson, and I wasn’t disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly, very convenient food and coffee right nearby (including in the building), and the rooms are a great mix of updated and historical. Mine was a bit small (historical), but comfortable… my one complaint was wishing that I’d had a chair, though it would have been a tight fit to accommodate one, and it just motivated me to read in the well-appointed and comfortable lobby.

Had a great experience during the rapid city stock show! People working were very helpful especially Cynthia!! She went above and beyond helping our group of people and was always nice. Hotel was kept nice and clean and service was excellent!

Kailey Schlaak — Google review

Older rooms, but comfy beds and pillows. Shower, no tub, fridge/microwave. Staff is great! Restaurant/bar on first floor has trivia night. Top floor, more fancy. No pool/hot tub, but a great experience. Said haunted room from a lost love is fun to learn about. Be sure to ask the front desk about it. Nothing to be scared of at all. People are so kind and great in this city! The Firehouse is a local spot to visit for food.

Beautiful hotel! I often times visit Rapid for business, and this hotel makes it worth my time. Patrick is beyond kind and I always appreciate his warm customer service. The rooftop bar is relaxing after a long day, and it’s close to my place of business. Thank you everyone for making my stays away from home more enjoyable.

Molly Zimny — Google review

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! The only downsides were housekeeping didn't restock anything. We had to go down and get coffee pods for the morning and the valet service is pricey and takes a long time. Front desk staff was FABULOUS!!

I have to say this hotel was amazing. I love historical properties and this did not disappoint. The location is great. Very walkable to shops and restaurants. The hotel staff was the best. The desk staff was pleasant and accommodating. Cynthia, Laura, Patrick and Mason always had a smile and very helpful. The valet staff was on point. My car was always ready for me in a timely manor. My husband and I will definitely be back to visit my son and will only stay here. Sammie

The best hotel with lots of history, great restaurants, great service! I would definitely come back! It's the gateway to Mount Rushmore! Rooms were spotless and clean! Everone from the valet to the front desk; the restaurant staff and servers to the maids; basically, everyone did an excellent job! I'm coming back for sure!

My husband and I stopped in Rapid City on our drive from Minnesota to Wyoming and we had such a great time. Even with the little bit of construction that was going on the hotel was super clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the actual hotel was beautiful.Because of the weather we had to move our trip by one day, Cynthia who answered the phone was super helpful and got us rescheduled. We had such a good time we came back on our way home. We hope to come back one day.

Located on North Lacrosse, Best Western Ramkota Hotel is a great place to stay for travelers. The hotel offers friendly service and all the amenities you need while away from home. It also has its own pirate ship and water park, making it a great family destination.

This is a big Best Western property. Loved the updated room decor! Every time we stay here it gets better and better. The parking here is great. Big rigs, RV’s, U-hauls all have a place to park. Nice areas to walk pets.

The hotel is little more than good with respect to their accommodations. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. My only complaint is that you can hear a pin drop out in the hallway--say nothing of little Billy yelling his water-slide adrenaline-pumped lungs out while I was trying to relax. It's a touch loud at $100 an night. The restaurant connected to the underbelly of the hotel, on the other hand, made my stay extend. Love this Minerva's (first time at this aparent chain): their service was superb, drinks good, and the food excellent. I stayed 4-days instead of one, probably mostly do the the meals (breakfast and dinner, for me) which kept pleasing me beyond hotel food expectation. I worked at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle for a while; our hotel restaurant was Ruth's Chris. But this is a Best Western with great food. A gem in the rough.

For the years I've lived her we have come to enjoy the pools and nice rooms. However I've also watched the property and staff become less than pleasant. It all started this time around when I called to see if I was able to have an early check in. Understandably so I was told to call back around 11 to check if they had a room available. I call back the next morning (the day of check in) get told to call back in an hour. Which is also understandable. However, the way I was told was a bit unprofessional and down right rude. Was finally given a time. We get here, we play in the pool. Which most of the equipment is not working nor safe. One slide all of my children came off of with marks all down their back. We get back to the room and what do you know.... a mouse. After calling down to let them know. I was told we could switch rooms. How??? I just talked to them and the front desk said they were full. They sent the maintenance man (very sweet older gentleman) to place a mouse trap. I was told they haven't heard of having mice in any rooms. That's fine and dandy however while pulling the couch bed out.... laid 2 mouse traps. I highly doubt we will be returning.

Read the bad reviews and after staying there, I believe most of the bad reviews were probably false. Room was clean, beds, bathroom linens were fine. Desk service was very pleasant and no issues. The pool and Water park were really nice and if you like FAST water slides...the two in the water park will not disappoint you. The location right off of I-90 is also a plus.

This hotel is not in a great part of Rapid City. We booked a suite here for two nights. The rooms are very outdated. Furniture is worn. (The bed was comfortable though.) The room smelled like old cigarette smoke as soon as we walked in, the thermostat was the old kind, not digital. The coffee table and regular sized table were both had sticky stuff all over them. (See pictures), The AC in our room didn't work, there was hair in the shower, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was so dirty and disgusting, the toilet and shower water pressure was slim to almost nothing and the toilet ran and ran and ran. When we called the front desk my husband had to email pictures of the issues to get matainance to come make the room presentable. The wallpaper was worn where chairs had rubbed against it and stained in the corner by the table. Management did comp one night of our stay and the fan was vacuumed and the toilet somewhat fixed. It started running again in the middle of the night the second night. My husband used the hot tub and pool. The chlorine smell inside was so strong it was hard to breathe yet the pool floor had black stuff on the bottom and the hot tub floor felt gross. I touched a table in the pool room and it felt gritty. Lastly the security entrance door for building G during the day where the sun directly hits the metal door would get stuck and not close which is a safety and security issue. We are reward members and are loyal to the Best Western Chain when we travel, but this location is embarrassing and not one that I would recommend to family, friends and truthfully anyone.

Susan Baldoni — Google review

I would not recommend booking at this hotel!!! From the first interaction it was negative. The gal who checked us in was very rude and short tempered. She must have been newer as a coworker came to the counter mid check in to check her work and was way more helpful and kind than the initial lady.We booked a suite here over the holidays and it was awful inside! The online pictures are VERY deceiving! It was so bad we ended up only staying in the room one night and booking a room at the Holiday Inn down the road. We were unable to cancel the rest of the reservation so we used the water park area one afternoon. The room in general was not clean. The pull out couch had food/crumbs in the cushions, the bath tub had hair (not ours) all over it, the bed in the room had sprung springs and we would have been better off sleeping on the nasty crumb filled floor. The door to the court yard had a gapping crack that allowed a very cold breeze through. It was very windy one of the days we came by to swim at the water park and a tarp was literally blowing off the roof! The place obviously needs a massive overhaul. What a waste of $1000!

Caycee Hermanson — Google review

The Lobby was really clean and desk staff were polite enough.Unfortunately, the room was pretty dirty. The fridge had marks on it, one bed had ink stains on the comforter and the other bed had a threadbare comforter. The carpet in the room was dirty and clearly had not been vacuumed. The entry areas of the hallway was filthy with leaves and dirt. The halls were dark and dingy, and the area outside the pool had a strong mold smell, and the door to the large pool had lots of rotting wall debris around it.We just packed up our stuff and checked into the Holiday Inn Express across the street instead. Way cleaner, way brighter, and the smaller water park was still a blast for my kids.

Mathew Grade — Google review

Great place to stay. Fun water park and pool for kids. Some parts of hotel are older and need maintenance.Rooms were clean and comfortable.Beds were nice, I slept well. There was a room towel shortage when we got there but we used pool towels.I recommend this hotel, i would stay here again.

Jamie Bradley — Google review

We entered our first room to find hair on the toilet, bed, and stickiness on every surface of the room, and no outlet covers. We asked politely to change room, which was granted, thankfully. The second room was cleaner, certainly, but there was still stinky rings from drinks all over one of the tables. I just wiped it off with some baby wipes and all was fine. We then went to take our kids to the water park, which is essentially the sole reason we booked this hotel, and the water park was not functioning. Had we been notified of this, we wouldn’t have booked with this hotel. Overall, the rooms and the buildings are in need of some serious maintenance. And bring some Clorox wipes.

Chali Dobrenz — Google review

Not sure about the bad reviews but our room was very clean. We spent some time in the pool and the hot tub. The hotel is in a very convenient location and it’s very beautiful.

We came here in the beginning of a big event, surprisingly still some parking available. I wish they'd mention just how HUGE this Best Western is, there's about 5 different buildings of the hotel. This place is so huge it was better for me to drive my car from where we were staying to the front desk, than it was to walk.We got settled into our room and noticed that it was 74/75 degrees. We thought maybe the A/C just needed some time. About a half hour to an hour later, no change in temperature. I called it in, they sent up maintenance and was told to try and ask for another room, since they wouldn't be able to fix it til maybe the morning. Went to the front desk, they had security check some available rooms to see which was best for me and my little family. We were traveling with a 1 year old and the family dog. Thankfully the room next to our original room was perfect. Though the A/C thermometer looked like it was from the 90s, the A/C worked and the room was fantastic. I super appreciated how fast they were to move us into a new room. I was surprised that there were any during this massive event in town.Room was clean for the most part. Bed was clean, I thoroughly checked each pillow, sheet and cover. However, what I didn't like was the fact I found a contact lens on the bathroom sink.... Unfortunately tells me someone's lens came out while cleaning... or it was never cleaned properly. Minor, but unfortunate.Overall its nice if you're planning to stay for a little bit.

Lori Rios-Duarte — Google review

I’ve stayed here before and it was never this bad. Upon entering the room, we noticed garbage under the heater and the floor was not vacuumed as there was dirt on the floor. There was all “white” marks on the bench, don’t even want to know what that was. As we started to get into the room we noticed that inside the bathroom there were 2 lights burnt out and 1 outside the bathroom that was burnt out as well. The door handle on the bathroom was one good pull away from falling off. The icing on the cake was the USED FAKE FINGERNAIL IN MY BED SHEETS. Do you even wash the bedding between guests?! Absolutely disgusting. After the first night we were gone all of the next day and got back in late at night. Upon entering the room, all of our towels had been removed. Not replaced at all, but completely removed. How the hell is housekeeping going to take all the towels but not touch the bedding??!! The GM of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves.

had a good stay for a day.staff was welcoming and informed about everything you can enjoy during your stay.they have free shuttle to airport multiple times a day which is really very helpful.I got mine in 5 in morning and they were on time and quick.spacious rooms and very well maintained.

Pools are nice and rooms are decent. Checked out night of booking and staff told me I couldn't check out until the next morning. Reported to front desk staff that the chlorine in the kids pool is far too much so much so that myself and my children were coughing and eyes burning, had to move to the adult pool area so we could breathe. Front desk person told me they don't use chlorine and that she was with a cust and would let maint know. The interaction about the pool chemicals does not give me confidence in the care of the staff for their guests health. Overall, have used this hotel several times and I like the rooms and the pools but the kids pool last night was not a safe place.

sierra vance — Google review

The hotel in general was just not very clean. The hallways specifically were extremely dirty, so it was not very welcoming. The rooms were outdated and cleanliness was fair/average for the rooms. It was very loud at night, as you could hear every single noise in the hallway. The large swimming pool area was very dirty (the pool temp of this pool was comfortable). The kid pool area with the slides had a broken slide and the water was extremely cold in this area (this pool area was fairly clean). Would not book here again.

Morgan Blasius — Google review

This was my first visit here, I traveled with my boyfriend, 2 teenage boys and a dog. We couldn't of picked a better place to stay. The value is definitely a plus. The water slides were fast enough to keep everyone entertained. The hot tub was very relaxing. Really nice courtyard to bring our dog into with our patio doors opening to the courtyard. I will never stay anywhere else when staying in Rapid City again. This is the Jackpot.

I hate to leave a bad review but, we had a pretty bad experience here. Pictured above are 2 separate rooms we were put in. 1st room looked like someone had just slept in the bed, 2nd room had food all over the sheets. Finally the 3rd room we moved into was good. I had 3 kids withe so it's wasn't the best moving all our stuff room to room late at night. The front desk didn't seem real surprised. Maybe a comp night would of been nice, but no nothing than an over priced hotel bill. There was a lady in front of me with the same problem so idk what's going on there 🤔. But we won't be back!

Do not stay here. It is clearly infested with bed bugs. We found two in our room and left immediately. There was also fake fingernails left on the floor, a toy car and a pair of dirty socks left in the nightstand. The staff was nice and friendly, but they need to seriously take care of this bedbug issue.

I see a ton of reviews about bedbugs, rude service and dirty rooms. The hotel is old, yes. But it's comfortable. It's smells slightly "musty" as you walk in, again it's an old hotel but within minutes you don't really notice it. The front desk was perfect and very cordial. No attitudes, very polite and welcoming. Our double queen was spotless. Clean sheets, clean towels, clean floors. I even grabbed a flashlight and went through the entire room and both beds. Not a sign of a single bedbug, co*ckroaches or mice.Maybe they've had problems in the past but currently, 04/09/2023, I've had no issue. For the price, this place is a killer deal!Kids had an absolute blast at the pool! Haven't eaten at the restaurant, yet.

Great location but room was not sanitary nor clean. Toilet had to be completely removed and resealed after flooding the floor night one of our stay. This delayed our roadtrip resulting in more costs and just overall NOT a good stay. Staff was friendly and verbalized care but did not handle it well at all .

Had a booked rooms for local conference. When we arrived at the hotel at around 11:30 to potentially check in we were told each person would be charged $10 each to check in. When we came back at 4:30 we wanted to check under our reservation and gave them our conference reservation name and was told we had to have the credit card it was checked in under. Although when the party with the card showed up we were informed that the hotel had already been contacted to let us check in early and it was only then the clerk took the time to check for that note. When our parties checked into the room they found that they had not TP or very little to utilize. We went downstairs and asked and instead of seeming like it was an issue the clerk she said “I hope we have some” instead of “ oh I am so sorry about that.” Then this morning upon checking out the same rude clerk that we encountered the day before was there and the attitude had not changed. We don’t plan to stay there for any future conferences in Casper.

Stay there three nights first night. Had a lot of trouble finding a hotel that was not overbooked. Finally went to this hotel was greeted by a very nice lady who was taking care of group tours and she was able to get me a room. I'm handicapped and the room was handicapped. I'm very grateful to her and for the rest of the staff at the hotel. We made this our central spot for all our visit because it is essentially located to so many different places that we could get to and get back within one day. Thank you everyone at Best, Western

We booked the room because the kids pool looked AMAZING.... It did indeed look amazing BUT....it was FREEZING COLD!!! My children didn't even want to stay in the children's pool. We ended up across the hall in a much warmer pool. We were not the only family that ended up at the other pool. All in all I would NOT book again because we booked to have a fun kids time and it just disappointed. 😞 Also, the survey provided does not ask about the pool at all. 🤔

Rooms were acceptable with mostly cosmetic damages. Fitness center was unusable with most equipment damaged, missing, or dangerous to use in its condition. With much better options in town, i would not stay here again.

Came for my daughters birthday and boy that turned out bad......Couldn't even check in due to not having a fdic bank card I booked online on there official website and thought everything was fine since I use a Walmart debit card....boy was that far from the truth....got my confirmation number and even called and spoke to staff a few time to verify we would have a room and the price...day of the party I call and verify once again! I arrived at 330 as they stated a possible early check in....then my wife was notified if we didn't have $200 cash deposit and an additional $100 for the room we couldn't check and and tuff luck....very unprofessional and completely ruined a birthday party

The rooms are clean and comfy, very quiet. First floor opens to a Court yard , the restaurant is right in front, albeit they need a better cook. I would recommend this place as one of the best hotels I have stayed in

The first room was not cleaned, pee on the toilet, dirty bedding, and not vacuumed. I got moved rooms and the second room was clean but there was a co*ckroach in the bathroom that night. The hallways were dirty all weekend. Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. My son loved the water park, but the chlorine burned out eyes and skin, and the water was cold. Overall not great and way too expensive for the poor quality.

Pricing was changed 3 different times, inital booking, check in and check out. Each time price was different and I ended up paying more than what I was told at check in. The lady working front desk when I checked out told me it was a mistake but still I feel it would have been more appropriate had they honored what I was told when I checked in. She also didn't seem like she cared about anything I mentioned and more was in the mood of I am right and didn't want to deal with it. So in the future will be taking business somewhere. And for the price you pay to stay there, there is no continental breakfast. Room was clean, that was the only good thing about our stay there.

We stay here every year for my son’s birthday. We love the front desk staff, they’re always so friendly. This time around the room was FILTHY & not cleaned very well. There was a bag of old chicken in a cupboard & trash and used linens in the hide a bed.

I loved this hotel. Had an outdoor and an indoor entrance. Room was spacious and clean. Also has an indoor water park. I didn't use that....but if you have kids...it seems like it would be fun. Also.....Hobby Lobby was just across the road. BONUS! Can also order room service from the onsite restaurant.
